Worship

We normally meet for morning worship every Sunday at 10.30 am.  Our worship is mainly traditional, but occasionally we have a café style service or a Songs of Praise.  Live organ playing is often augmented by recorded music or videos. We sometimes use PowerPoint.  When there is a 5th Sunday in the month, we have a more informal service in the hall at 3pm.

Holy Communion is celebrated about once a month and anyone is welcome to join us.  The Methodist understanding of communion is as a means of grace and a means of conversion.  Communion is therefore offered to all who are looking for a deeper relationship with God.

In common with many churches throughout the world, readings and the theme for services normally follow the Revised Common Lectionary.  A verse selected from one of the Lectionary readings for the week is on our Home page.

We visit a local care home at Easter, Harvest, Remembrance and Christmas for a short service of hymns, readings and a time of fellowship with the residents.  If you would like to join us, we suggest that you contact our Senior Steward for details.

Periodically we meet for Bible studies and discussions, mostly in people’s homes.

For more information about the services in the coming weeks, please see the Circuit website https://www.hbrmethodists.org.uk/, or the Diary section of this website.
